Fortress Party 2015 Retrospective Part 7: The Blue Man Group

We wanted to do a Blue Man Group room for the dance party area. We already had mannequins, so all we needed to do was buy blue bodysuits. You can get these at any Halloween store, but for some reason I decided that I wanted shiny ones. What I soon learned is that shiny blue bodysuits are a (popular?) sex toy in China. I cannot fathom why. I ordered one, but soon got a notification that it would take three months to arrive. Maybe the Chinese adult toy store ships by hot air balloon?

This was an musical instrument that Andy made out of PVC pipes of different lengths, based on a similar apparatus used by the real Blue Man group. They were tuned to play different notes when you hit the top of them with the sandals.

The Blue Man Group is also known for banging on garbage cans covered with fluorescent paint.

The digital sign on the wall would scroll through all the traditional Fortress Party sticker quotes.

The walls were covered with glow-in-the-dark paint. The word "FORT" was spelled out in giant sheet-sized letters in paint that was blacklight sensitive, but invisible in regular light. Sometimes, when there was beat drop, the DJ would cut all the lights except for the backlights.
