Fortress Party 2017 Retrospective, part 4 - Scooby Dooby-Doo!

When you have a friend who has a friend who owns an actual Mystery Machine, you have no choice but to do a Scooby Doo room. So let's split up and search for clues!

I was not part of the team that drove this van to or from its home in Chicago, but I did get to ride it to the car wash. I have never seen so many smiling passersby. If you ever want to see the world around you light up with unmitigated joy, drive around in a Mystery Machine.

And yes, guests could go inside.

The back of the van was filled with soft blankets, bean bag chairs, and lava lamps. The Grateful Dead's greatest hits were playing on repeat.

The real centerpiece of the Scooby Doo room was the villain unmasking. When guests pushed the red button, a hand would reach out in the video, ripping off the Minotaur mask, and revealing one of 28 different local personalities who were taking advantage of a regional folklore to advance their villainous designs.

Below is a compilation of all of the villain's confessions. Each and every one of them would have gotten away with it, if it weren't for you meddling kids!
